Privacy policy

It goes without saying that the protection of your data is of particular importance to Kathrin Hornbanger Rechtsanwaltskanzlei. Kathrin Hornbanger Rechtsanwaltskanzlei collects, processes and uses your personal data exclusively in accordance with the mandate you have given us, the content of this data protection declaration and the applicable data protection laws (DSGVO, TKG 2003).

Disclosure to service providers

Personal data will only be passed on to third parties without the express consent of the client if this is necessary for the execution of the contract with the client. Accordingly, data is transferred to such service providers (e.g. mail, service or host providers) for the purposes of contract fulfillment in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. B) GDPR takes place. Of course, Kathrin Hornbanger Rechtsanwaltskanzlei ensures that the respective service provider has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of the data before passing on the user's personal data.

Otherwise, the personal data will not be passed on unless the user has expressly consented to the transfer (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. A) GDPR) or the law firm is not obliged to pass on the data due to legal provisions or court orders.

Storage period and deletion

The law firm only processes personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the processing purposes (fulfillment of the mandate) or as long as is required by a legal obligation to retain the data. The data will then be deleted immediately.

Newsletter

Our law firm occasionally informs existing contacts and cooperation partners about important professional milestones, seasonal greetings, and relevant updates relating to our activities. Newsletters are sent exclusively to individuals whose contact details we have obtained in the context of an existing or previous professional relationship. In connection with the newsletter distribution, email address and name are processed solely for the purpose of sending these communications.

Such (firm-related) information may also be sent to other interested parties who have provided us with their contact details and have consented to receiving this information – either expressly or implicitly, for example by handing over a business card in the context of an information event or another professional setting.

Processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining existing professional relationships and in compliance with Section 174(4) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 (TKG 2021), as well as in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. No automated profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place; in particular, no decisions are made that are based solely on automated processing and that produce legal effects concerning the data subject or similarly significantly affect them.

For the distribution of newsletters, we use the service “Brevo” (Sendinblue GmbH) as a processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Data processing is carried out exclusively on our instructions and within the European Union.

You may object to the processing of your personal data for the purpose of receiving newsletters at any time in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR. A corresponding unsubscribe link is included in every newsletter sent, or you may send your objection by email to office@hornbanger.com. In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority, in particular with the Austrian Data Protection Authority ( https://www.dsb.gv.at ).

Cookies & Web Analysis

The website of the Kathrin Hornbanger Rechtsanwaltskanzlei does not use cookies, tracking technologies, or web analytics tools. No external content is embedded, ensuring that no data is transmitted to third-party providers when you visit our website.

All website content is provided exclusively from our own servers. We do not use any analytics or marketing services such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Matomo, or similar platforms.

However, for technical reasons, certain information is automatically stored in server log files by our hosting provider Hostprofis when you access our website. These log files typically include:
