EU Public Procurement Act: Public Procurement Law before a Systemic Shift?
The European Commission intends to fundamentally reorganise EU public procurement law. With its proposal for a Regulation on public procurement and concessions presented on 9 September 2026, the existing Directives 2014/23/EU, 2014/24/EU and 2014/25/EU are to be replaced by a directly applicable Regulation. The current draft could lead to the most far-reaching systemic change in European public procurement law to date.
